You seem to think that there are tons of movies out there with $35,000 budgets. Sadly, most of those movies you see in those bins have hundreds of thousands of dollars behind them. I have been watching a production company with 10 times that $35,000 budget make the same mistakes. Now what distinguishes you from all of those "bin" movies? You only had $35,000!!! I know you look at Pub as a failure, but to this day it's the best $35,000 dollar movie I have ever seen. Just my two cents...

I think you mis-read me. I know these movies cost these dang people way more that $35,000. They probably paid that much for one day on Dudley Moore's trailer. :)

But more importantly, those bin movies were made for the most part by a studio and never made any moeny weren't popular and for the most part weren't very good.... heance the fact I hadn't heard of them... I mean Last Action Hero was also buried in that bin. The perfect example of a movie I speak of... That movie had a $45 million dollar budget and it blew up.

Now I never said I look at PUB as a failure... the movie is great. But for it ME in terms of what I could, as a producer should and COULD, have done to make the movie better was a failure. But in so far as the mistakes I made... not the movie itself. And to that I could argue forever. :)

OK, I gotcha.... Just making sure you weren't getting down on yourself. Yes mistakes were made, but when you only have 2 people that care if it actually succeeds it makes for a very difficult time. The next time will be easier! I promise! Hmmm.... maybe I should just say that I will try real hard. ;) Promise is a rather binding word. ;)

i would comment on PUB but you know what i think anyway. i also think that you have obscure movies. i would pull most of yours off of the shelf and say "what in the hell is this".
