Thoughts at the Airport Bar

While I was sitting at the Airport in Dallas/ Fort Worth on my way to get Ryan I jotted down these notes.

I'm a traveler. I'm a good one. I'm usually a pretty good packer thought I probably chose too big a bag for this trip but between xtra shoes for the wedding and the almighty trilogy which had to make the trip the bigger suitcase seemed necessary. But the best thing about being in airports is that you seem important. Especially on a Wednesday. "I'm going somewhere in business. I'm important."

Airports are like a little city. You can get anything you need. Like a good bloody mary. Which I'm drinking now. I'm at the Friday's in Concourse A in Dallas/Fort Worth and if you need a good Bloody Mary ... go there. But you also have clothing stores, book stores, Starbucks (or 4bucks as Seinfeld calls it) even a PGA golf store. Even it all is a little expensive. I'm sure I'm not the first to say that I had the idea for the Movie TERMINAL before the book was even written.

SO I'm sitting here at the Friday's bar and this girl walks up to the bar asking about Tequlia. I'm just enjoying my Brocolii and Cheese soup at 1 pm and she's asking about Tequlia. She decides quickly on Patron and he hands her the shot. NO training wheels. Impressive. "Can you make that a double?"

"That's as much as I can give you in one glass," the bartender replies.

"Just give me another," she says sweetly. And downs her first.

He pours the shot which she quickly downs, scans her credit card and leaves a 5 dollar tip on it. And off she goes.

I wanted to ask for her hand in marriage, but she left before I grew the balls. Ce' lei ve.

As I made my way here I walked at pourposely slow pace. I hunched my shoulders a bit to accentuate my leisurely pace. Meanwhile, people are rushin past me. I get on the moving walkway and slow my pace even firther. I thought it must look odd this who's obviously in no hurry cruising down the moving walk way.

Now I sit in my plane a small 200 seater. All that's missing is a propeller to really scare me.

Matt

Oh and somewhere on the internet, that I don't want to pay to see is the first EP III trailer. There are some lucky bastards out there. Only 219 more days.
