Chapter 3: Deployment Options
Ü
SYSPREP version 1.1 is now available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/WINDOWS2000/downloads/deployment/sysprep/default.asp
This version of SYSPREP v1.1 allows you to create and use a single image for SCSI and IDE drives and controllers.
With the original SYSPREP, you would have had to create a separate image for each different type of drive or controller.
Chapter 5: Remote Installation Services (RIS)
Ü
To install Windows 2000 Server using RIS, see the TechNet article:

Appendix B: Complete Unattended Setup Syntax
Ü
Under the [Identification] section, you can use the key
DoOldStyleDomainJoin = Yes
to force unattended setup to override the Windows 2000 security and join the domain using
the old Windows NT 4.0 style domain join. This means, if you have a computer account pre-created
in the domain, you do not need to provide domain account credentials to join the computer account to the domain.
